For those who don’t know me, I go by the name of Skwynts Dawg. I’m a 24 year old white boy, with a rugged past. I've been a hip-hop artist since 1998. In my eleven years of recording I’ve made 4 demos, 2 CD’s and I’m currently finishing up my 3rd album (BELOW THE POVERTY LINE). Also I have written and recorded 100 or so songs. Ever since I came out my mother's womb, I’ve been spitting the music of life.

Since I was just a wee little boy I’ve been into music, all kinds of music, there’s such a wide range. From hip-hop to punk, blues, classical/Mozart, metal, classic rock, shoot the list doesn't stop. It doesn't matter as long as it has a melody. Its crazy how many songs I have memorized, you wouldn't believe me unless you rolled with me. It feels like only destiny that I make music. The music I make I try to touch every type of audience. For the most part I try to teach life lessons, help my fans through their problems, or just plain out entertain. I also love to freestyle. I believe free styling is a lost art. Most recording artists can't freestyle and in my mind that’s bullsh*t. I believe that free styling makes an artist who they are.

My influences are endless, some of my hip-hop influences include: N.W.A., Snoop, S.P.M., Bone Thugs, Tech N9ne, Twista, Do Or Die, Slick Rick, Haystak, Paleface, Eminem, I.c.p (them motha suckas are funny), Dayton Family, 2 pac, Biggy, U.G.K., Esham, Brotha Lynch, T.Q. Masta P, Lil' flip, Baby Bash, Nas, Jadakiss, Fabulous, Trick Daddy, Big Daddy Kane, KRS1, Nate Dogg, Warren G and so on and so on. That list was not in any particular order. We would be here all day into next week if I listed all my influences.


I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for my family, friends, fans, and supporters. Seriously there are days when I want to give up. So I go and look at my profile hits and realize I’m not doing this just for me. So to those reading this, who feel me, thank you. If you want to read more about me I will write a blog every week.
